Meet the Founders

John is a graduate of what was colloquially known as "Teller Tech", named after famed physicist Edward Teller, a program where some of the brightest physics graduate students were given a fellowship to pursue their doctoral research in collaboration with the scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in conjunction with the University of California. It was here that John met Charlie who would become an important mentor, colleague and lifelong friend.

After a prolific career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, encompassing many ideas, projects, inventions and scholarly papers and presentations, Charlie "semi-retired" to a life of active contemplation which led to the germ of an idea for a new approach to high yield nuclear fusion. Many years of active collaboration with our other cofounder followed as they worked through the subtle intricacies of how to actualize the idea in a practical way. Note: Charlie passed away in his sleep on June 18, 2024, He was 92 years old.
